Today in college, we viewed some rather upsetting videos,(for observational reasons), but still the whole thing made me feel disgusted in how humans can treat animals. I mean - yes we do need sources of meat in order for us to survive, but why did humans have to stoop to a low level and come up with 'battery farming'.. Seriously. I was shocked at how they treated those poor animals. For example: The baby piglets in the video, separated from their mother straight away, crammed into a small pen, starved and barely surviving. In the video this guy picked up a piglet and started cutting at it's ears (can't even remember why), and the commentator said how they also cut their teeth down and chop off their tail to prevent them eating each other in the pen. They snip at these animals with no sedatives, so in the video I could hear this poor baby pig squealing for dear life. It sickens me. Free range; it may take longer for food supplies, but to know these animals were given space, food, freedom and the chance to live properly, gives you some peace of mind. As for Animal Testing, those people shouldn't even be called Scientists. Animal maimers is more of an appropriate title. This footage was obviously being filmed secretly, but it showed how aggressive these people were to animals. This man was yelling and flinging a Beagle everywhere because he could and the Beagle was scared. They take animals from the wild away from their family and natural surroundings just to test on them. What annoyed me most was this; the commentator explained how they even tested chemicals and cells onanimals to see if they could cure specific diseases... when those specific animals couldn't even get those diseases or illnesses - it's as if they're purposely prodding and dissecting animals for the sake of it. Yes, we need to find ways of curing diseases, illnesses ect, but considering we're in the 21st century - contained with constant upgrades of technology.. what's stopping people from inventing forms of technology that simulates the situation thus not harming animals or humans..... yes, I have just sat here and typed all this out because it completely and utterly annoys me.

Ever randomly came across a song that has lyrics perfect for how you felt at the time? I always get it, and that song is constantly replayed till I'm sick of it. A song stuck in my head lately is 'Secret Smile' by Semisonic, I keep singing the chorus. Right now, I'm listening to a band called 'Our Lady Peace', these guys are pretty awesome in my opinion. Give them a listen :)

Yeah, there are some pleasant ones who will be polite and sometimes let you off with less money for bus fare or even let you on for free (it's happened once :D was quite made up aha).
But when you get told you can't get on the bus because you don't have change, and have to wait for another one for an hour in the cold. Piss take ('scuze my French). I mean, he could've waited for others to get on the bus, get change and THEN I would've paid him on my way off? But nah, he had to be a snotty arrogant old fart and basically kick me off the bus. He's lucky I bit my tongue and didn't say anything obscene - I could have but I didn't, because I'm polite unlike him. So yeah... I just needed to vent it out. :'D xox
So, last night was 'Bonfire' night! A celebration of Guy Fawkes being burnt alive? Brutal!
I didn't do much :\\ stayed in to attempt finishing off assignments.. but I got distracted by the pretty lights :D
I did visit my older sister though :) and me and my 2 sisters messed round with sparklers!

It's coming up to Winter now and I'm thinking about what to wear to keep warm and look sort of stylish at the same time. My friend brought in her hat yesterday... I robbed it the WHOLE day, and now I want one :{ hahaha!
